welcome to 2023 with me, Life Coach Franzannie. When you're feeling stuck or unsure I help you figure out how to get out of your own way so you can get what you want through one on one individual coaching sessions. Coaching gave me the courage to believe that I could have the life of my dreams and take the action steps to make it happen- I quit my job, sold my house and started my own business... Four years later I'm understanding it's going to take longer and be a lot hard than I anticipated. 

My theme this year is to Find What Feels Good so I can be obsessed with my life now AND so I'll stick to it. In this podcast, I invite you on this intentional journey into myself... each week I pick a theme and Tuesday through Friday I'll pick different topics I want to examine by asking myself clarifying questions, which is what we do in a coaching session 

This week I'm talking about what's not going well in my life, how I got here, what I've learned what are some potential solutions. The most important thing I want to accomplish about this exercise this week is to look curiously and not critically at myself

Happy Friday, today I'm diving into working out inside- my goal is to exercise 4 times/week. Twice outside, twice inside (yoga + strength training)

why it's not going well

Walking is my fallback activity and lately (read: 2023) I've been opting to walk and this month I missed my 4 days/week target

how I got here

  • I carefully chose my exercises- the who, what, where, when, why
  • created a workout "sanctuary"
  • tell myself my sanctuary should be better
  • don't trust myself to do it, which creates a vicious cycle

what I've learned

  • sometimes the appreciation comes AFTER the doing- for now- like cooking
  • this aspect of who I want to be is not easily aligned with who I already am- and that's OK- it's going to take more work

what are potential solutions?

  • trick myself- maybe create a challenge- I added that to my March goal
  • watch my energy- I tell myself I don't like it, I'm anxious because I trust myself
  • continue to be forgiving and curious- I'm in this for the long game, don't want to kick and scream
